This product looks nice, and reads buttons quite easily, but unfortunately the design of the centre contact means that over time the centre of users iButtons become dented and in the end won't read on other readers such as the standard blue dot readers. Avoid this product unless you want to damage all the iButtons that use it. Stick with a DalSemi part, or at least something with a better design.

This product has been redesigned with a wider central contract which fixes the problems that Michael saw.
